Triumph adds Alpine and Desert Editions to Tiger 900 and 1200 range
Triumph’s 2026 Tiger 900 and 1200 Alpine and Desert Editions add radar safety tech, Akrapovič exhausts, and fresh paint to the brand’s adventure line-up.

Triumph has announced a new pair of special editions for its Tiger 900 and 1200 adventure bikes, as the Alpine and Desert Editions return to the range.
Due in dealerships from January 2026. Like the previous editions of the bike, riders can expect a boost in tech, and spec, although the base bike (mechanically speaking) remains the same as the respective 900 and 1,200 models. There is, though, a bit of a sweetener for those opting for the Tiger 1200 Alpine and Desert editions…
But more on that later.
Tiger 900 Alpine and Desert Editions

The new Tiger 900 Alpine and Desert Editions are essentially uprated versions of the GT Pro and Rally Pro models, respectively. Both share the same 888cc T-plane triple, meaning you still get a punchy 106bhp and 66lb ft.
Upping the ante on the features front is a factory-fitted Akrapovič silencer, the first time Triumph has fitted one as standard on an adventure bike. You also bag some extra protection, with the Alpine getting engine protection bars, and the Desert getting fuel tank protection bars for added off-road durability.

Like the same editions that came before them, new paint arrives in the form of Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black with blue accents for the Alpine, and Urban Grey and Sapphire Black with orange accents for the Desert. The chassis of the bike features the same suspension and braking setup as the base bikes, meaning Marzocchi units on the Alpine (180mm of travel) and Showa on the Desert (240mm of travel), plus Brembo Stylema brakes across both.

Otherwise, the 900s stick closely to their donor models. There’s still a 7-inch TFT display, Triumph Shift Assist, five riding modes on the Alpine and six riding modes on the Desert - which bags the spicy off-road mode. There are optional heated and low seats available on both the 900s.

In short, the 900 Alpine is the GT Pro with extra bars and an Akrapovič can, while the Desert is the Rally Pro with similar upgrades - and both obviously get the exclusive paint schemes.
Tiger 1200 Alpine and Desert Editions

The bigger 1200s get a few more changes. Mechanically, they’re still powered by the 1,160cc T-plane triple producing 147bhp and 95lb ft, and both use the same semi-active Showa suspension setup and shaft drive system as the GT Pro and Rally Pro models they’re derived from.

Adding to the Tiger 1200’s already high-level spec is the addition of Triumph’s Blind Spot detection system, something you previously would only get if you opted for the big-tanked Explorer versions of the Tiger 1200. Heated rider and pillion seats, also standard for the first time on these 20-litre models.

Revised paint schemes also land on the 1200s, two each for the Alpine and Desert, ranging from crisp whites and blues to the more vivid granite and yellow combinations.
Otherwise, it’s business as usual. There’s still 200mm of suspension travel, Brembo Stylema brakes, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tubeless spoked wheels, and the same 10,000-mile service interval and extensive three-year unlimited mileage warranty.
The short answer: style, comfort, and a couple of useful tech upgrades — particularly for the 1200.
Pricing and availability

UK prices start from £14,395 for the Tiger 900 Alpine Edition, with the Desert expected to sit slightly higher. The 1200 Alpine and Desert Editions will command a further premium, although Triumph hasn’t confirmed full pricing just yet.

All models will hit dealers from January 2026, with more than 50 factory accessories available, including the usual Trekker and Expedition panniers.
