Fans of road racing and Joey Dunlop can now get their hands on a new Arai final edition helmet, which celebrates the legendary TT racer 25 years on since his death.

The special helmet is only available in 600 individually numbered Arai RX-7V Evo units  worldwide, with each one featuring a personally signed certificate from Linda Dunlop, Joey’s wife.

The lid’s design is styled to match Joey’s signature yellow and black Arai helmet that he wore for much of his career.

The 26-time Isle of Man TT winner, who has only been surpassed by nephew Michael Dunlop (33 TT wins), died on July 2, 2000. To celebrate the road racer, this new helmet, which is exclusively sold by The Visor Shop, features a 25th anniversary badge and a Shell Oil sticker pack.

That means you have the option to choose between replicating the look of Joey’s ‘80s competition lid or to wear it without the added elements.

For every sale of the new limited edition helmet a sum will go to Linda, while a further donation will go to a new Joey Dunlop monument at the Memorial Garden in Ballymoney, Northern Ireland.

The new helmet meets ECE 22.06 safety standards and can be bought at The Visor Shop for £869.99.

Set to appeal to both collectors and everyday riders, the current Dunlop Arai RX-7V is one of the most iconic lids within the Japanese company’s stable, which includes many other helmets based on former and current racers.
