Yamaha has added new colours to its range of highly successful scooters amidst extremely strong market growth

Yamaha updates urban mobility range of scooters

FOR navigating the urban sprawl, few can argue against the simplicity, economy, and comfort of a twist-and-go machine. The step-through segment has also seen meteoric market growth in the last 12 to 18 months, something that Yamaha is toasting with new colours up and down the range.

From the retro style of the sporty and aggressive XMAX 300 Tech MAX to the funky three-wheeled Tricity 300, each has a new palate of colours for urban motorcyclists to choose from.

Yamaha XMAX 300 and XMAX 125

Inspired by the phenomenally successful TMAX, the XMAX 300 and 125 are both now available for 2022 in a new Icon Blue colour scheme, matching that of Yamaha’s highest specification motorcycles.

XMAX 300 Tech MAX and XMAX 125 Tech MAX

For those looking for a higher specification machine from the already well-equipped XMAX models, the Tech MAX versions of each offer a special dual seat, leather vanity panels, aluminium footrests, and special cockpit finishes. Both the 300 and 125 Tech MAX models are now available in a new Dark Petrol colour – on top of the existing Power Grey.

Yamaha NMAX 125

The NMAX 125 saw some fairly hefty updates at the beginning of 2021, which helped to seal its place as one of the best equipped and most popular 125cc scooters on the market. The redesigned fairing is not just aesthetically updated, it also works hard to scoop out a comfortable area of still air for the rider to sit in.

On top of this, an updated 125cc BlueCore engine sits at the heart of the bike, with revised Variable Valve Actuation, start-stop technology and traction control.

For the coming year, the new NMAX 125 will be available in an eye-catching Milky White colour scheme, on top of the already available Phantom Blue and Power Grey options.

Yamaha Tricity 300

Taking its queues from the radical Niken sports touring motorcycle, the Tricity 300 takes the leaning multi-wheel concept and flings it into the city. With agile handling, otherworldly levels of wet and dry grip, and a standing assist system, the funky three-wheel might just be the ideal urban companion.

Two new colours grace the Tricity 300 range for 2022, with Petrol Blue and Sand Grey joining the existing Gunmetal Grey colour.

Yamaha D’elight 125

Taking the form of a retro-styled, lightweight scooter, the easy-going D’elight 125 only just arrived on the scene at the beginning of the riding season. And with the bike doubling its sales volume in that time alone, Yamaha has taken the decision to leave the model as-is for the 2022 model year.
