TRIUMPH has announced it is to launch two special edition Tiger 1200s, possibly marking its swansong before it gets the 2020 makeover treatment.

The two new bikes both feature a special edition paint scheme, tailored accessory packages, and dedicated tyres for touring and off-road dedicate machines.

Triumph Tiger 1200 Desert Edition - £15,500

The Desert Edition takes the Tiger 1200 down the road less travelled, with a plethora of adventure and off-road upgrades designed to allow the bike to perform in the most inhospitable and challenging regions. Alongside the new Sandstorm paint scheme, the bike features Desert Edition graphics and new ‘SE’ radiator badges. The bike also gains an up and down Triumph shift assist system and a lightweight homologated Arrow silencer.

Triumph Tiger 1200 Alpine Edition - £14,700

The Alpine Edition takes inspiration from the alpine passes that crisscross southern Europe, with a new Snowdonia White colour scheme, Alpine Edition graphics and ‘SE’ radiator badges. The bike also comes fitted with the Triumph Shift Assist and Arrow silencer. Easily distinguishable from the Desert Edition, the Alpine comes fitted with cast aluminium wheels.

Standard features for both bikes include:

  • Adjustable full colour TFT instrument
  • Optimised Cornering ABS and Traction Control
  • 5 rider modes (Rain, Road, Off-Road, Off-Road PRO, Sport)
  • All LED lighting
  • Triumph Semi-Active Suspension (TSAS)
  • Triumph Shift Assist
  • Illuminated backlit buttons
  • Keyless ignition - Easier to live with daily, featuring a premium keyless ignition
  • Cruise control
  • Electrically adjustable touring
  • Ride-by-wire throttle, heated grips and three power sockets including a USB socket under the seat.
