Official specs and price for UK-bound Royal Enfield Meteor 350

We knew it was coming and now it’s here! This is everything you need to know about the Royal Enfield Meteor 350

THE Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has, for what is a relatively small motorcycle in all respects, made big waves since first being announced earlier this year.

There seems to be something about this machine’s mix of old-school charm, on-trend styling, and modern tech that has captured the imagination of motorcyclists across the globe.

Now it has officially been confirmed that the new 2021 Meteor 350 will be making the trip halfway around the globe to the UK and Europe.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 UK price

The new Meteor is shaping up to be one of the best value classically styled motorcycles of 2021. Bikes are expected to begin landing in dealerships in the first part of 2021, and the OTR price starts at just £3,749. That includes a three-year unlimited mileage warranty and three years of roadside cover.

Meteor 350 engine

For fans of the more classical machines from the R+E brand, the Meteor will be an extremely exciting model indeed. At its heart is a single-cylinder, 4 stroke, air, and oil-cooled 349cc engine. It may look, and likely sound, a lot like the Bullet 350 unit, but beneath the skin this new powerplant is all-new. It’s a Euro5 compliant unit that produces a claimed 20.2bhp @ 6,100rpm and 20lb-ft of torque at 4,000rpm. The gearbox is a five-speed item with an overdrive fifth gear, while the clutch wet multi-plate item is cable operated. Sitting on top of the thumping single is a teardrop fuel tank of 15 litres in capacity.

Chassis

The frame of the bike is also a new item although in typical Royal Enfield fashion, it’s classically styled! It’s a twin down-tube spine frame, that swoops down behind the tank to provide an accessible seat height of just 765mm.

Suspension at the front is taken care of by telescopic 41mm forks with 130mm of travel, obviously non-adjustable, although if you’re looking for adjusters to play with, you’re in the wrong bike segment! The retro-looking rear twin-shocks are Emulsion items with six levels of pre-load adjustment.

The front brake is a single 300mm disc with a two-piston floating caliper with a 270mm disc and single-piston caliper at the rear. ABS is two-channel and as far as we are aware, it’s non-switchable.

Equipment

Making its debut on the Meteor 350 is the new Turn-By-Turn navigation system that’s all contained with the bike’s instrument binnacle. Called the Royal Enfield Tripper, a dedicated navigation display provides real-time directions to the rider, with Google Maps two-wheeler providing the data.

The Tripper displays the best route to reach a destination using Google Maps’ two-wheeler navigation, a first for any Indian made motorcycle. Once paired to the Royal Enfield App via the rider’s smartphone, the Tripper system provides the next turn information and distance to the next turn by highlighted arrows on the screen.

Meteor 350 editions

There are three editions of the Meteor 350 available, the Fireball, the Stellar, and the Supernova. Each bike uses the same basic spec, with colours and metal finishes marking out the different models.

The Fireball is available with either a red or yellow single colour fuel tank and matching wheel rim lining. It features blacked-out cycle parts and engine, which is finished with machined fins. The Stellar comes with a red, blue or matt black fuel tank and matching body components. It also features chrome handlebars and exhaust plus a backrest for the pillion. The top-of-the-line Supernova, finished in dual-tone blue or brown with matching body parts, is detailed with machined wheels, a choice of premium seats, and a windscreen.
