Norton's TT racer revealed

V4-powered race bike seen during testing ahead of TT debut

THIS is the V4-powered race bike that Norton will race in the Isle of Man TT later this month.

The Norton SG3 will compete in the Senior and Superbike races ridden by Cameron Donald - pictured on the bike during testing today at Oulton Park.

The bike uses an Aprilia RSV4 engine tuned to deliver around 200bhp at the crank

The handbuilt Norton chassis has been tweaked since the firm's 2013 TT bid, with rake reduced for sharper handling.

Norton says the SG3 is more powerful and aerodynamic than last year's SG2, which managed a 122mph lap and finished 18th ridden by Ian Mackman.

Donald is to be the firm's only rider at this year's TT. The Australian is a two-time former TT winner, achieving Superbike and Superstock victories in 2008.
