KX Concept inspiration for new Royal Enfield cruiser?

Eagle-eyed snappers catch a brand-new Royal Enfield cruiser on test displaying some traits first debuted on the stunning KX Concept bobber

This appears to be the first look at a brand-new Royal Enfield cruiser and the first model to take cues from the firm’s stunning Concept K  first unveiled back in 2018.

The Indian firm may be better known for providing retro yesteryear vibes - both in design and engineering - at excellent value prices versus European or American competition, but drop-dead desirable they generally aren’t.

However, it is ambitious which is why 2018’s Concept KX bobber went a long way to changing the perception of the brand and left us longing for it to go into production pronto.

Two years on and we were giving up hope but these spy shots reveal a cruiser version bearing some resemblance - if not a mirror image - of the Concept KX has been spotted on Indian roads.

Granted there isn’t too much to go on here as the eagle-eyed snapper gets a ‘portrait’ rear-quarter and brief side-on look at the mystery Royal Enfield, but it does differ from the Interceptor enough to look like a dedicated new cruiser model.

With a low slung body, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, large rear fender and black engine casing, plus dual-exhaust pipes, this model stands alone, though one can expect to find the new and well-received 650cc twin under the skin.

This new model seems to be just one of several Royal Enfield are working on at the moment, including the local-market Meteor 350 and the ‘baby’ Himalayan expect to be known as Hunter or Sherpa.

However, we’re still holding out hope that the KX Concept makes a like-for-like appearance - complete with bobber style and 838cc V-Twin engine - in these model plans...

The Royal Enfiled should launch a propper bobber bike instead of a tamed down cruiser. They should bring the concept of KX bobber bike as shown here: https://www.mototechindia.com/royal-enfield-bobber-838-price-specs-image... The KX concept shown was amazing and I was looking forward to seeing the production-ready variant of that beast. Instead of an 838cc, they could have built this bobber on the 650cc parallel-twin engine derived from interceptor 650. RE should launch a proper bobber bike inspired by Royal Enfield KX as shown in the auto shows.
