KTM 990 RC R and 990 Duke R included in new Orange Test Ride Takeover
KTM has revealed a new summer test ride programme that will feature a long list of new models, including the 990 RC R.

Fancy test riding the popular KTM 990 RC R supersport, the 990 Duke R, or perhaps the new 1390 Super Adventure S? Well, here’s your chance as KTM is bringing a summer long test ride programme to the UK.
The new Orange Test Ride Takeover will begin in May, before concluding in August. During that time, the test ride programme will visit seven different locations, starting with Quickshifter Coffee in Somerset, on 2 May. The tour will then head to Squires Café Bar in Leeds, on 16 May.
Based in Hampshire, Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum will host the third stop on 30 May. The tour then heads to Baffle Haus: The Cedars, which is based in Pontypool, Wales, on 13 June.
A further three stops at Rykas Café in Dorking (11 July), The Manor Farm Café in North Yorkshire (25 July), and The Green Welly Stop in Tyndrum, Scotland (22 August), will round out the Orange Test Ride Takeover.
According to the Austrian manufacturer, each location will offer a “selection of 12 KTM models spanning the Naked, Adventure, Supersport and Supermoto categories”.

Riders will have the chance to ride more than one bike, allowing them to compare models back to back, while also exploring what’s new for 2026.
From its naked range, KTM is making the 390 Duke, 790 Duke, 990 Duke and 990 Duke R available for test rides, as well as the 1390 Super Duke R and 1390 Super Duke R Evo.
In terms of the adventure models that will be available to ride, KTM is offering the 790 Adventure, 1390 Super Adventure S and 1390 Super Adventure S Evo. One model will be available from each of the supersport and supermoto categories, including the above-mentioned 990 RC R (supersport) and the 390 SMC R (supermoto).
