DUCATI'S success didn't slow down last year; it sold 55,451 bikes in 2016 – 642 more than in 2015 and netted a 4.1% increase in turnover – up from €702 million to €731 million.

European sales contributed significantly to Ducati’s continued growth – with many markets reporting double digit growth – sales in Italy grew by 20%, by 38% in Spain, and by 8% in Germany. America is Doocarti's number one market, where it sold 8,787 bikes last year.

And Ducati’s current success looks set to continue with the launch of seven new models this year: the 1299 Superleggera, the Ducati SuperSport, the Multistrada 950, the Monster 797, Monster 1200 and two new versions of the Ducati Scrambler - Scrambler Café Racer and Scrambler Desert Sled.

Speaking about Ducati’s success, CEO Claudio Domenicali said: ‘The continuous evolution of our range, both in terms of quality and technology, the constant development of our dealer network and the effectiveness of a strategy based on investments aimed at the products, the quality and the customers, have enabled the company to continue on its growth curve. This allows us to look to the future with optimism, knowing that we are heading in the right direction.’
