Stunt motorcycles stolen from circus

Stunt motorcycles stolen from circus

THE OWNERS of Gandeys Circus are asking for help leading to the return of three specially modified motorcycles which have been stolen this week.

The bikes, two Honda CRFs and one white and green Kuba, were stolen after thieves cut through a fence on Wednesday night at Aintree Racecourse. The bikes are ridden in the ‘Thunderdome’ which is a giant steel ball that sees the riders reaching speeds of 35mph.

To help the bikes handle inside the steels ball-shaped cages, the bikes have odd sized wheels and the BBC has reported the owners stating they are “impossible to replace easily” and that they are “not for road use”.

To try and speed up the safe return of the bikes, the circus is offering a £500 reward for any information that leads to the conviction of the thieves and the return of the bikes.

The circus will be at the racecourse until 3rd March.
