Help BMF and FEMA fight noise regs

Bikers' rights groups carrying out a survey on bike noise to fight restrictive laws

Help BMF and FEMA fight noise regs

DID YOU know that bikes are banned from some roads in Germany and Holland, purely on the grounds of noise? Yep, even if your bike is a quiet, totally stock machine, it's not allowed down certain roads because of noise complaints from residents. Meanwhile, you could fit a race pipe to your Ford Focus ST, and charge down the road with no problems whatsoever - it's only bikes which are banned.

There are no rules like this in the UK at the moment - but we've all heard of biker meets, trackdays and race events which have been threatened or closed down because of noise complaints. Bikers' rights groups the BMW and FEMA are working against these types of rules - and they're asking for our help. They're running a survey on bikers' attitudes to noise HERE, and need us all to fill it out.

And while we're on the subject, you should join the BMF or MAG anyway if you haven't. We need all the help we can get these days...
