WITH their first motorcycle ride in 2017 raising over £10,000 for charity, BarbersRide has continued ever since - so far raising an incredible total of £66,000 all for charity.

It all started when a bunch of biking barbers and industry guys decided to run a charity fundraiser, and set off from Dundee to London over 5 days. The charity BarbersRide are supporting this year is the incredible Make-A-Wish Foundation, which provides children and young kids with critical illnesses their chance to make their one wish a reality.

Previous charities supported include Lions Barber Collective, London’s Great Ormond Street, and Liverpool’s Alder Hey children’s hospitals.

A spokesperson from BarbersRide says:

“MAKE-A-WISH grant special wishes for sick children when they are most in need and bring positivity and happiness in times of distress. In 2021 our ride will kick off on Saturday 7th August in the Liverpool area, travelling around Scotland and with a finale night in Leeds on Thursday 12th August. ALL WITH ONE GOAL: to have as much fun as possible whilst raising much needed funds for the charity.”

They are planning the ride for the 7th-12th of August 2021 on some stunning roads and corners of the country, starting in Liverpool, setting off north past Glasgow to Fort William, before heading back down and across to Dundee, Yarm and finishing up in Leeds.

They’ll be stopping at a host barbers each day, before then hitting the road the very next morning. If you fancy it, it costs £180 (per rider) to join the full tour - with all proceeds going to charity. You can also join them for one leg, if you can’t make the full tour.
