After seeing its first-ever motocross model reach dealers in July, Ducati has already shifted focus onto two new off-road models which will land sometime next summer.

The Italian brand, which is gearing up to celebrate its 100-year anniversary in 2026, previewed the new Desmo250 MX and Desmo 450 Enduro models last month, as part of its big plans for next year.

Said plans will also see the new Monster V2 arrive, with the 2026 model already entering production. Brand-new Hypermotard V2 and Hypermotard V2 SP bikes were also revealed last month, while a new DesertX V2 model was previewed.

The new DesertX is set to land in dealers from May 2026, however, the Desmo250 MX and Desmo450 Enduro will arrive after that.

The Desmo250 will serve as the smaller sibling to the Desmo450, which raced in the MXGP World Championship this year. It will do so again in 2026, but this time with three factory bikes instead of two, after Ducati announced a new partnership with Louis Vosters’ experienced Dutch team.

The Desmo250 MX prototype has already been in action ahead of its 2026 release, with Alessandro Lupino debuting the bike in the Italian MX2 Championship.

Specs have been largely kept under wraps for both bikes, although the latter will benefit from the same 449.2cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that’s housed by the Desmo450 MX.

The Desmo450 MX produces 62.6 bhp at 9,400rpm and 39.5 Ib-ft of torque at 7,500rpm. The Desmo450 Enduro is also expected to feature the same Showa suspension that’s found on the MX model, with fully adjustable 49mm front forks at the front and a Showa rear shock.
