Davey Todd has strengthened his partnership with 8TEN Racing team-mate Peter Hickman, after confirming he will ride for the latter’s PHR Performance Triumph team in the 2026 Supersport class on the roads.

First up for Todd will be a debut appearance at next month’s Daytona 200 in Florida, where he will ride a Street Triple 765 RS. Hickman is also making a return to the event after finishing fourth in 2025. Todd and Hickman have been business partners since last year, after their former team, FHO Racing, decided to scale back its involvement in racing.

Todd will also take on the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT with Triumph machinery in the Supersport class. Over the last few years, Todd has emerged as one of the heavy hitters at the TT, winning races in both 2024 and 2025.

A first-time podium finisher at the TT in 2022, in the Superstock class, Todd then achieved his first win in 2024 in the same class. That victory was backed up by another win during the Senior TT. Last year was another strong event for Todd, who won the first race of the 2025 TT, which was the Superbike race.

The switch to Triumph’s tried-and-tested 765 platform means Todd will be riding for a third different brand in as many years, in the Supersport class. In 2024, Todd rode Ducatis before switching to Honda for last season’s races.

Speaking about his move to the PHR Performance Triumph team, Todd said:

“I’m super excited to be joining the PHR Performance Triumph team for the Daytona 200 and also on the roads. It’ll be my first time at Daytona, not only to watch but also to compete in the event itself; it’s something that I’ve wanted to do for years and to be on the Triumph, a winning bike, alongside my good friend Pete is going to be really fun.

“I know we can go there, be super competitive and do a good job for Triumph. I’ve already had a few laps on the Street Triple 765 and my initial feeling is that it is a really good Supersport package, it’s different to what I have ridden in the past, but in a good way, and I’m already feeling comfortable.

“I’ll also be with PHR on the roads, and excited to be continuing with the 765 in the Supersport classes at the NW200 and the Isle of Man TT. We already know that the Street Triple is competitive on the roads from what ‘Hicky’ has done; I have also battled against him, so I know firsthand how strong the bike is.”
