Fan-favourite Storm Stacey to race at NW200
Bathams Racing is heading to the North West 200, as Storm Stacey is confirmed for at the event to make his road racing debut.

A famous new name will be joining the North West 200 grid in 2026, as Storm Stacey is confirmed to be making his debut at the Diamond Circuit.
The news comes just days after Stacey and his Bathams AJN Racing Team were making the switch in BSB from BMW to Ducati Panigale V4R power in 2026. Alongside his entry aboard the Panigale in the superbike class, the highly popular young racer will also contest the Supersport races, riding a Yamaha R6. Reports also suggest he’ll be taking on the Superstock class at the flagship Irish event, although the machinery for that is as yet TBC. His Bathams Racing team boss, Michael Rutter, is also hopeful of making a competitive return to Portrush in 2026.

Speaking about news, Stacey said:
“I visited the team last year when they were at the Northwest [SIC] 200 with Michael and Craig and immediately understood why Michael raves about it so much. The course is so unique and like nowhere else I’ve raced, and the speeds are so high, I just had to experience it for myself. Most of all, the fans are so passionate about the racing and everyone that I met made me feel so welcome. I just knew I would have to go back with my race bike and have a go.“Obviously having Michael to follow round and give me hints and tips will be a massive help and will definitely be a highlight for me. I mean how many riders get to do 200MPH on a public road alongside their team owner? Hopefully there will be loads of Top Hats in the crowds too!!”
Racing at the North West 200 takes place from May 4 to 9, 2026.
