HARLEY-DAVIDSON is reportedly recalling 238,300 motorcycles due to a hydraulic clutch assembly issue.
Market Watch reported that the Milwaukee manufacturer revealed details in a regulatory filing on Tuesday of a recall that involves all 2017 and 2018 Touring, Trike and CVO Touring models, as well as certain 2017 Softail models.
According to the article, Harley is expecting the huge recall to cost $35 million – a huge blow considering that only recently the manufacturer reported a successful third quarter. This recall will be booked in the fourth quarter.
While there appears to be some truth behind the article, the recall has yet to be registered on any European motorcycle recall sites. If it does go forward, it will earn its place among the largest motorcycle recalls ever.
