Two decades after arriving in the two-wheel electric space, Zero Motorcycles is celebrating turning 20 with a new black and gold 20th Anniversary Limited Edition SR/F naked.

Born in California, the electric motorcycle maker currently has four different two-wheel ranges, including the ‘S-line’, which is where the SR/F resides.

Sharing the same platform as the S model, the SR/F offers more range, a higher speed, and less charging time.

While the 20th Anniversary edition’s Jet Black with gold detailing is certainly one of the most striking elements of the bike, so is the claimed torque output, which comes in at 140 Ib-ft.

The new Limited Edition SR/F will be available in just 40 units, 20 of which are staying in the United States.

The other 20 will be sold through select European dealers, making it the most sought-after motorcycle in the company’s line-up.

The SR/F combines a Z-Force 75-10 motor that produces a claimed 83kW (around 111.3bhp), with the company’s Z-Force 17.3 kWh lithium-ion battery.

The new variant also features various carbon fibre components, including the front and rear fenders, while smoked turn signals, black headlight wings and a black aluminium flyscreen play into its aggressive, blacked-out appearance.

Additionally, black billet mirrors, bar ends, and brake levers are joined by a billet lever protector and billet front and rear brake reservoir caps.

The bike’s black theme is finished off with a black brake pedal, black dust covers and matching black grab rails.

Zero says the special edition model will be available while stocks last, and that this will be the only production run for this exact variant.

The first units are beginning to land in dealerships across America and Europe, although pricing in the UK is unknown at this stage.
