After recently revealing new accessories for the Triumph Tiger Sport 800, British company Pyramid has turned its attention to the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT sports tourer.

Pyramid has added a pair of colour-matched huggers to its range, which are compatible with 2025-on Tracer 9 GTs. The new products should offer a high amount of protection at the rear of the bike, stopping grime and spray from flicking up onto the underside of your motorcycle, which, when it happens, makes cleaning your bike all the more time-consuming.

They are available in either ‘Redline’ or ‘Icon Grey’ options, and the Huggers have been precision-made in the UK “to deliver a fit and finish that rivals original equipment”, according to Pyramid.

Pyramid also goes on to say that the design “incorporates a built-in chainguard that replaces the standard item”. This all means that coverage for the rear shock absorber, tail section and any luggage or passenger on board the motorcycle, should be pretty effective.

The Tracer 9 GT currently sits in the middle of Yamaha’s three-model range, with the Iwata-based company also offering the standard Tracer 9, as well as the 9 GT+.

The Yamaha Tracer 9 is available with a six-speed transmission only, however, the 9 GT and 9 GT+ are both available with that same setup, or the brand’s Y-AMT (Yamaha Automated Manual Transmission) system, which eliminates the need for a clutch lever and foot shifter.

Back to the Redline and Icon Grey Huggers, they are available to buy as we speak on the official Pyramid website. They are priced at £209.99 each, which includes VAT.

Pyramid also says that installation does not require any modifications and that fitting instructions are included with the delivery of the product.
