Four Yamaha models get matching anniversary colours

In 2026 four Yamaha motorcycles will receive the same special anniversary colours, including the all-new R7.

Yamaha’s 70th anniversary celebrations led to very nice one-off livery changes across several championships in 2025. But for 2026, four road models can be had in those same colours year-round.

Those models include Yamaha’s entry-level sportbike, the R125, the R3, R7 and R9, which was victorious in the World Supersport Championship in 2025.

The new look features a lovely white and red colour combination, which is inspired by the iconic livery used by the race-focused 1999 R7.

Yamaha first revealed the celebratory colours on its factory M1 MotoGP bikes at the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen, earlier this year. Those same colours, albeit with slight tweaks, were then applied to the company’s R1, which raced at the Suzuka 8 Hours event, as part of the FIM Endurance World Championship.

Then it was the turn of Yamaha’s WorldSBK teams at the season-finale in Jerez, with both the R9 and R1 receiving the celebratory colour scheme.

There are, however, some key things to note about the special-liveried R125, R3, R7 and R9 for 2026, which is that all four bikes have a slightly different price compared to the standard colour versions. For example, the R125 is available for £5,500 in either its standard blue or black configuration, but if you opt for the anniversary livery, then the price rises to £5.650.

Also incurring a £150 jump with the special paint scheme is the R3, which goes from £6,652 up to £6,802. If you fancy the anniversary livery aboard the R9, you will be looking at a price increase of £250 over the standard colours.

The price difference between the standard and anniversary colour has not yet been confirmed by Yamaha for the R7, nor has the bike’s overall RRP at this time, which has undergone big changes for 2026.
