Triumph could soon bolster its Street Triple 765 range with the addition of an RX model, and a new Moto2 edition.

Triumph’s Street Triple 765 range could soon see the introduction of a new RX model alongside a Moto2 edition, both of which are expected to be part of a limited run.

The news of these limited edition bikes comes from Motorcycle.com’s Dennis Chung, with paperwork from the California Air Resources Board pointing to the two new models.

Triumph already revealed a brand-new limited edition Speed Triple 1200 RX model earlier this year, so the introduction of an RX bike within the Street Triple 765 range would not be a surprise. Currently the Street Triple range features the R model alongside the more high-powered RS.

Should a new RX model indeed be on the horizon, more details of the bike could potentially be revealed at the EICMA trade show in November.

Expect it to take after its would-be Speed Triple sibling, which gets an Akrapovic silencer as standard and Öhlins electronic suspension. Whether that would be the case for the smaller Street Triple 765 remains to be seen. However, it’s likely there would be some crossover between the two bikes.

Availability for the new RX is also likely to point towards the Speed Triple, which was limited to just 1200 units when revealed. So if we base our prediction off that, the new Street Triple RS would most likely be made in a total of 765 units worldwide.

That might also be true for the new limited edition Moto2 model, which could be unveiled as the highest-spec between the two, and therefore of the entire Street Triple 765 range.
