Signs point to a new BMW G310 RR coming soon in India
All signs point to a new BMW G310 RR in India, but we hope the bike will land in the UK in the future.

A teaser on social media, coupled with multiple reports in India, suggests BMW is rolling out a new G310 RR model, although it’s unclear if or when it could arrive in other markets, including the UK.
The new, potentially special edition, G310 RR makes a whole lot of sense, as the German manufacturer already has the G310 GS adventure model and the R ‘naked’ edition featured in its line-up, which are available in the UK.
This gives us some confidence that the fully-faired G310 RR model could arrive on our shores at some stage, although it looks like India will get the bike before anyone else.
The current G310 RR, which is a model that’s available in India, is the result of BMW and TVS Motor’s ongoing partnership, which led to the G310 R, G310 GS, and TVS’ Apache RR 310 being introduced.
It’s the latter that a new G310 RR would resemble the most out of these machines, at least from a visual perspective, as the Apache model is also a fully-faired, small-capacity sportbike.
The Apache RR 310 received a power increase of 11 per cent compared to the previous version during its most recent update, giving it a claimed power output of 37.4bhp at 9,800rpm and 21.3 Ib ft of maximum torque at 7,900rpm.
Here’s what BMW Motorrad India had to say during its social media teaser.
If we’re right in saying the new bike from BMW could benefit from similar updates as TVS’ Apache 310 RR, then a jump in power could also be coming for the G310 RR.
The Apache 310 RR also features winglets which the current G310 RR model does not, so that could be a preview of things to come, but that’s unclear for now. With EICMA just around the corner, we might know more about a potential new G310 RR then.
