This is not the first time that BMW France has left us feeling very envious, as last year it revealed Dark Editions of its F900 GS and R1300 GS that were also exclusive to the French market.
This time around it has stuck with the F900 range, and in doing so has used the brand’s car division for inspiration. The F900 R has received a new Frozen Grey paint scheme, while the F900 XR features this sweet-looking Aurelius Green livery, with both models mimicking the colours found on models within the M range.
According to BMW Motorrad France, the F900 XR’s Aurelius Green colourway is an exclusive paint scheme that’s “usually reserved only for the M1000 XR”.

Both models are currently on show at the Salon du 2 Roues (2–Wheel Show) in Lyon, France, which takes place from 26 February to 1 March. The F900 R is priced at €9,500 (around £8,320), while the F900 XR rises to €12,200 (roughly £10,685).
The F900 R and F900 XR are powered by the same 895cc twin-cylinder engine that produces 103 bhp at 8,500rpm and a maximum of 68.6 Ib-ft of torque at 6,750rpm.
Along with the new special edition models, there is some optional equipment that riders can add to match their new colours. For the F900 R, riders can add a tinted windshield, as well as a seat cover and engine cover, both of which match the Frozen Grey paint scheme.
For the F900 XR, riders can also get a high tinted windshield and an engine cover in matching Aurelius Green colours.
