TVS Tangent RR patent images show the starting point for BMW F450 RR
Fresh patent filings show the TVS Tangent RR in production-ready form, closely mirroring its EICMA concept and strongly suggesting it will underpin BMW’s upcoming F450 RR A2 sports bike.

Patent images have been revealed that show the incoming TVS Tangent RR sports bike in its production form. Adding an extra level of intrigue to the pictures is the fact that this very bike is thought to be the basis for the incoming BMW F450 RR A2-compatible sports bike.
The Tangent RR was presented to the world on the TVS stand at EICMA last November, with it being touted as the bike to replace TVS’ existing Apache RR 310 platform. As was the case with the Apache platform, which went on to underpin BMW’s G310 GS, G310 R, and G310 RR, the upcoming TVS 450 platform will once again be powering a new wave of BMW models.

Interestingly, for the TVS, are the seemingly minimal changes from the concept we saw at EICMA and the patent images displayed here. Everything seems to be just at it was on the Tangent RR concept. The angular bodywork, with deeply scalloped side fairings, and even the tail unit, with what looks like aerodynamic fins attached to it, all still remain.
If the patent images are anything to go by, the Tangent RR is far more than a show stand flight of fancy — it’s a production-ready platform poised to usher in the next chapter of TVS and BMW’s small-capacity sports bike partnership.
