Rea puzzled by lack of Brno win

"I can’t understand why I had a slow start to the weekend"

JONATHAN REA has admitted that he is still puzzled by his slow start at Brno at the weekend.

The Ten Kate Honda rider took another podium with a third place finish in the first race and managed a fourth in the second, but struggled to get to grips with his Honda despite having posted the fastest time of the recent Imola tests a couple of weeks ago.

The lack of feeling from the Honda put Rea on the back foot throughout qualifying and he had to push harder than he was comfortable with in Superspole.

He said: “In Superpole we had to ride through the problems and get a good result and we did the same here in the race, so I feel quite fortunate to get a podium. We didn’t quite have the pace of Max , but my team have done a really good job. I really love this place, but I can’t understand why I had a slow start to the weekend.”
