REPSOL Honda’s Dani Pedrosa will be returning to the MotoGP paddock this weekend after taking time out to recover from forearm surgery.
The 29-year-old underwent 'complicated and aggressive' surgery on his right forearm after the first round of the 2015 MotoGP season in Qatar due to severe arm pump issues which is said to have been a problem since the latter half of the previous MotoGP season.
Since the surgery, which took place in April, Pedrosa was advised not to race to ensure a full recover and has therefore had to miss the past three races.
“I’ve been doing a lot of therapy in the past few weeks since the operation and I am improving step by step,” said the Spaniard.
“I’m beginning to feel stronger and looking forward to getting back on the bike –after all, this is the best way to check the feeling after all the rehabilitation work.
“It will be good to get back to my team and catch up with them all after this time and of course to see all the fans in Le Mans, so let’s hope the weather is kind to us again like in 2014!”
Pedrosa will rejoin the Repsol Honda team on Thursday 14th May for the first Free Practice in France at the Le Mans circuit ready for qualifying on the Saturday and the race on Sunday.
