Ducati MotoGP press officer Luca Semprini, 35, passes away in Brno

A minute’s silence has been held ahead of the Czech Republic MotoGP press conference at Brno following the news that well-known Ducati MotoGP press officer Luca Semprini has died suddenly at the event.

Semprini, 35, was is understood to have passed away in during the night in the team’s hotel in Brno.

Andrea Dovizioso and Danilo Petrucci were due to be participating in the pre-event oress conference but did not take part after leading members of the team were joined by journalists and other press conference participants – Valentino Rossi, Brad Binder, Cal Crutchlow, Maverick Vibales and Karel Abraham – in a minute’s silence to honour him.
