Rutter sets first electric 100mph TT lap

Another record falls at the TT

MICHAEL Rutter has set the first official 100mph lap on the Motoczysz TT-Zero machine.

Rutter won the 1-lap race in damp conditions with an average speed of 104.056mph clocking a time of 21m45.33 seconds.

The top three riders, Rutter, McGuinness and Miller all broke the 100mph barrier.

Rutter unoffically broke the 100mph lap barrier in practice with a 102mph lap but his race time makes it official.
