Monteblanco BSB Test Results: Josh Brookes quickest on day two
VisionTrack Ducati's Josh Brookes sets the pace on day two of the British Superbike Championship test at Monteblanco, Spain
Josh Brookes topped the timesheets on the second day of British Superbike Championship pre-season testing at Monteblanco as the underlined his title favourite status.
Riding the VisionTrack Paul Bird Motorsport Ducati, Brookes set his best lap time in the morning session with a 1m 37.424s proving seven tenths quicker than Jason O’Halloran’s Wednesday benchmark.
Danny Buchan was just a tenth off the former champion aboard the Massingberd-Mundy Kawasaki, with Hector Barbera getting to grips with the BMW S1000RR to go third for Rich Energy OMG Racing.
On a competitive day, O’Halloran was fourth quickest on the McAMS Yamaha but only two tenths from the top spot, ahead of Luke Mossey, Ryan Vickers and the Joe Francis, who continued to impress on the Lloyds & Jones PR Racing BMW.
Brookes’ team-mate Christian Iddon turned in the eighth best time from British Supersport Champion Jack Kennedy and Tommy Bridewell aboard the Oxford Ducati.
