WATCH: Team Classic Suzuki, the bikes, races, and the builds
This stunning video takes us on a trip down memory lane, as the Team Classic Suzuki crew take us behind the scenes
THE Team Classic Suzuki machines are now familiar sights at events like the Isle of Man TT and Endurance Legends. The familiar and evocative blue and white colour scheme makes picking the bikes out on track surprisingly easy, especially when you consider that they can lap the TT at nearly 130mph!
Suzuki V-Strom 1050 XT video review
In this newly released documentary isn’t just a montage of the best racing action from the last couple of years, it also highlights how Nathan Colombi and his crew turn classic road bikes into race-ready winners, all with the help of the Suzuki Vintage Parts program.
The video highlights the last three race bikes that Nathan and the team have created, each of them built under the watchful eye of the motorcycling public at Motorcycle Live.
The first bike is the Suzuki XR69 IoM TT race bike that Michael Dunlop took to victory in the 2016 Classic TT. Not only did Dunlop take the victory in the blue ribband event, he also smashed the course record for the class, lapping the arduous track at an average speed of 126.808mph.
Team Classic Suzuki documentary
Another well-documented machine to roll out of the Team Classic Suzuki garage is the stunning Suzuki Katana Endurance Legends race bike, the very machine that was taken to the top step of the podium by Pete Boast and John Reynolds at the Oschersleben four-hour endurance race.
The Suzuki Vintage parts program holds spares for over 20 models, covering everything from the GT250 to the all-conquering GSX-R750F.
