A new OMT 450C flat track race bike from Picasso Engineering, which features a full carbon fibre frame, has made its first public appearance in the UK ahead of its racing debut later this year.

The bike was put on show at one of the UK’s most prestigious events for design and engineering excellence, the 2025 Heveningham Concours in England.

The Picasso flat track bike is thought to have been one of the standout bikes on display, thanks to its radical approach to chassis design and materials. The bike features a fully carbon fibre frame, which has been developed specifically for flat track racing and is a departure from the traditional aluminium design.

Winners of the ‘Special Award’ category at Heveningham, Picasso Engineering will now enter into the FIM Flat Track World Championship with the bike this year, in the Czech Republic and Hungary, before taking part in the full series in 2026.

The new OMT 450C is built around a modified Honda CRF 450 engine, and it sets itself apart with its ground-up design philosophy. Extensive in-house development at the company’s Swiss headquarters has focused on tuning not just power delivery, but also chassis flex, traction dynamics, and overall rider feedback.

This is important to remember because the company has its eyes set on using this bike to build a road-going bike, which is scheduled to go on sale next year.

CEO and founder of Picasso Engineering, Stefano Picasso, said: “This is a huge honour for all of us. We built this bike with a singular vision: to challenge convention and demonstrate what can be done when you start from zero with no compromises. Flat track racing leaves no room to hide. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s the perfect proving ground for what we believe in.”
