This futuristic-looking BMW ‘Titan’ is based on the new R1300 R
Team of BMW designers go full Skunk Works on R1300 R to create ‘Titan’

A number of BMW employees have combined to produce this futuristic-looking concept, called ‘Titan’, which is based on the new R1300 R.
It’s been a couple of months since BMW rolled out its new R1300 R, which is the most powerful version of the bike ever produced, thanks to its new two-cylinder boxer engine.

Sportier than ever before, the new R1300 R received an increase in displacement to 1,300cc, over the outgoing 1250 model, and its two-cylinder boxer engine produces 143bhp at 7,750rpm and 110Ib ft of torque at 6,500rpm, in stock form.
The engine found in BMW’s current R1300 R is also present in this special edition Titan build, although it’s mated to a Wilbers-suspended chassis that features an extended swing arm and a twin pipe titanium Akrapovic exhaust system.

Despite having the same engine as the standard R1300 R, BMW has confirmed that the ‘Titan edition has more power although it doesn’t give away the all-important numbers.
The boosted power is delivered by an engineered transmission and shaft drive, while braking is supplied by Magura through its HC3 lever set-up.
A nitrous (NOS) bottle sits between the two titanium rear silencers, which allows the injection system to be fully operational at the touch of a button.
