Peter Hickman and Davey Todd will return as teammates for the 2026 campaign, in both British Superbike and as part of their international road racing plans.

Hickman and Todd became teammates for the first time ahead of the 2025 season, forming the debut of their co-owned 8Ten Racing team. However, it was far from an ideal start as the team was put together at the 11th hour, following FHO Racing’s decision not to carry on with both riders after scaling back its racing plans.

That resulted in race bikes being built on the eve of some race events, while sponsors were continuing to join the team as the year went on.

The team was formed using BMW M1000 RR machines, and that will continue in 2026 as the 8Ten Racing team will act as the official BMW Motorrad outfit in BSB, and at international road racing events.

For Hickman, 2026 will be as much about having a consistent season, as it will be bouncing back from the injuries he suffered during the 2025 Isle of Man TT.

Speaking after revealing his 2026 plans, Hickman said:

“I’m really excited about 2026! 2025 was a complete rush for us, especially at the start of the season, but I showed a lot of promise straightaway, almost doing a PB at Oulton Park and then equalling my PB at Donington Park despite never having sat on the bike prior to round one.

“That gave us plenty to build on but I obviously ended up injuring myself quite heavily at the TT, which was a real shame, for many different reasons of course, as I felt the best I’d felt in a long time on a Superbike during practice week.

“The team worked superbly all season and whilst BSB in particular, is obviously really hard, I'm really looking forward to having a good crack in 2026 with a lot of testing on the bike before we even get to the first round. It's great to have the support of BMW again and being the official team for BSB, the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT is obviously perfect for us.”

With no injuries setting him back in 2025, Todd remained one of the fastest men in the world on the roads. The Englishman was victorious in the Superbike TT race, while he also clinched two superbike race wins at the North West 200, as well as winning the Macau Grand Prix.
