Two new models have been launched by electric motorcycle manufacturer Super Soco, with the TS Street Hunter and TC Wanderer joining their roster.
Both motorcycles are aimed at shorter journeys in urban and city environments, but their differentiation is apparent in their appearance.
The TS Street Hunter (pictured above) takes on a sporty, aggressive aesthetic, whereas the TC Wanderer features visuals which offer a sense of nostalgia thanks to a singular round headlamp, wide handlebars and oversized nobbly tyres.
Both bikes are powered by a 2.5kW (3.4 horsepower) electric motor which Super Soco says can power them to a top speed of 45mph. Thanks to their low power, they can be ridden on an A1 licence or even just a CBT.
They also offer a range of 35 miles, and, for charging, the battery is removable, and can be charged from a standard three-pin UK plug socket in 3.5 hours. Additionally, the TC Wanderer can be equipped with a second battery, which doubles the range to 70 miles.
The TS Street Hunter, which features 17-inch wheels (100/80 and 120/70 tyres front and rear, respectively), is available from £3,799 - inclusive of the government Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) grant - and in four colours: “Storm Grey”, “Black”, “Platinum White”, and “Charcoal Blue”.
The TC Wanderer (pictured above) costs the same as the TS Street Hunter (£3,799), and is also inclusive of the OZEV grant. It is available in the colours “Ceramic Blue”, “Vintage Green”, and “Stormy Grey”.
