The online approach is being adopted as COVID-19 has pretty much ruined any chance of seeing some motorcycles in the flesh – EICMA, Motorcycle Live, and the Tokyo Motorcycle Show are just three of the many that have fallen by the way-side.

The Kawasaki video is typically teasing, giving away zero information – as you’d expect! That said, there are some industry rumours going around as to what the firm is going to unveil. Many believe the firm is about to pull the wraps off a new ZX-10R Ninja and possibly a new homologation special featuring the all-important winglets!

An update to the slightly aging Versys 650 seems sensible, as most of the 650cc twin-cylinder bikes got an overhaul for 2020. The addition of a TFT dash, Bluetooth connectivity, and a spruce up for 2021 would be a welcome update for the model.

There is also the possibility that Kawasaki is about to unleash a new supercharged model on the world, although an all-new bike would be unlikely. Had Kawasaki been working up a new machine around the 999cc supercharged mill, we’d likely have spotted some of the patents doing the rounds, or even a bike out on the road undergoing testing.

Whatever it is that Kawasaki wants to show is, we won’t have to wait long, and Visordown will be on hand to bring you all the news as it happens.
