Honda teases the new Fireblade

‘Sharper than ever’ says teaser video

HONDA’S just released this 30-second teaser video, which we can only guess relates to the long-awaited new Fireblade.

Shot from a rider’s viewpoint on track, the shaky black-and-white clip includes the written messages ‘Total control’ and ‘Sharper than ever’ and ends with a close-up of some bobbled sports bike tyres.

It also gives us a date – October 4, the first day of the Intermot motorcycle show in Cologne, Germany.

It comes after a spy shot of the new ‘Blade emerged last week.

Endless tweeks of the big 4 sport bikes don't get my pulse racing,
We need a 92 FireBlade, 98 R1, 01/05 GSXR1000 moment again
Supercharging to 275-300 bhp is the future

For a long time me & my friend were searching for informative blogs, but now I am on the right place guys, you have made a room in my heart!

The video doesn't sound like a typical inline flat crank 4 cylinder screamer to me.

I'm going to say this is a CBR350RR teaser. Because "Total Control" was the tag line they used for the CBR250RR production model a few months ago. This is most likely the 320cc R3 rival just like the 250RR was the R25 rival in Indonesia. The acceleration speed off the corner doesn't look strong enough to be a litre class bike.

IF I may edit my old post, there doesn't seem to be any sign of a 350RR. There were a few pics floating of a TVC shooting on a race track for the 250RR about a month ago so this could very well be the international launch of the CBR 250RR. Leaked spec sheet shows this 250RR making 4 more hp than the 36hp of the R25 at a 1000rpm higher than the R25s peak power rpm. The 250RR's peak torque was listed at 22N-m. Just listing the specs, the numbers are on par with the Ninja 300 and a tad shorter than the R25 so Honda might be content with keeping the 250RR as a 250 instead of going the Yamaha and Kawasaki way of making a 300cc version of their 250s.

Meh, scratch my last 2 posts. Young Machine also thinks its the new Fireblade. Oct 4th Intermot it is..

It doesn't sound quite right. To me it definitely sounds like an even firing four cylinder, but there's something weird about it. Almost game-like. I wonder if they used synthetic (sampled) sounds for better control.

I want you to thank for your time of this wonderful read!!! I definitely enjoy every little bit of it and I have you bookmarked to check out new stuff of your blog a must read blog

The first phase the preparation should, theoretically, be uninfluenced by the intended intensity and duration of the sound which is subsequently produced. In fact, however, so quickly are the three phases accomplished that the pianist rarely has capacity to think, in performance, of each phase separately.

Very interesting blog. A lot of blogs I see these days don't really provide anything that I'm interested in, but I'm most definitely interested in this one. Just thought that I would post and let you know
