Mass Recall for Honda CB300 and CB350 Models
A mass recall is taking place on several Honda motorcycles, including both the CB300 and CB350 ranges, for two primary reasons

54 years 8 monthsHonda’s popular CB350 model in India, along with its CB500F, CB300R and CB350RS models manufactured between October 2020 and April 2024 are facing a mass recall. The Honda CB350, also known as the CB350 H’Ness, is exclusively sold in India but is facing a recall for two major reasons, as are the other three models, starting with a faulty wheel speed sensor.
According to Honda, which is reaching out to customers in order to recall the bikes for repairs, an improper fitting procedure could result in water entering the speed sensor compartment, causing a serious malfunction. The malfunction would subsequently result in speedometer failures, and potentially worse with ABS and traction control failing on bikes equipped with these safety features. The faulty system has only recently been found, some four years on from these models entering the market.
A faulty speedometer and ABS system are not the only problems facing these models, as issues with the camshaft are the second recall reason. The camshaft on Honda’s CB350 range, produced between June and July of this year have a manufacturing defect which Honda say could impact the optimal functioning of its vehicle.
How bad the camshaft defect on these models is information that was not disclosed by the Japanese company, however, it’s clear that any motorcycle with camshaft issues needs addressing sooner rather than later. The camshaft is a major component of a motorcycle engine and controls the opening and closing of the intake and exhaust valves.
Riding a motorcycle with defects that require a recall is a no-no, so what Honda is providing is a free-of-charge repair for customers who bought these models between the faulty manufacturing dates. All of the bikes recalled will be serviced and repaired at India’s Honda Bigwing dealerships.
