Peugeot and French luxury watch company LIP have revealed a new, limited-edition run of XP400 adventure scooters.

Specs remain very limited to this point, but what we can see is that the new Peugeot XP400 features crash bars that snake out from underneath the front fairing and wrap around the side of the big-bodied scooter.

A Shad TR41 off-road top box is fitted to the rear of the XP400, with the new model set to be available in just 50 units worldwide. Housed inside the frame is a 400cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, while the scooter also receives a variable seating position, disc brakes with ABS and knobbly adventure tyres.

The Sahara-inspired seat is paired with an elegant Forest Green livery that pays tribute to French industrial heritage with an exclusive touch.

Each scooter has its own individual edition number, and comes with the LIP Himalaya Skeleton wristwatch, which is a collector's item made exclusively for this series.

Power and torque figures are unknown at this stage, but we would expect it to feature similar numbers to that of the new Aprilia SR GT 400 and SYM Cruisym 400.

The Cruisym 400 makes use of a 399cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 34bhp and 27Ib-ft of torque. On the other hand, the SR GT 400 produces a claimed 36bhp at 7,500rpm and 28Ib-ft of torque at 5,700rpm.

Pricing is also yet to be confirmed by Peugeot, but with the XP400 restricted to just 50 units, and likely to become a collector’s item in the hands of some customers, its price might eventually be higher than you’d expect.
