Race 1 of the Superstock class has been cancelled entirely due to poor weather conditions, which continue to hamper the 2026 Isle of Man TT.

Organisers have issued a fresh update following the revised schedule that was confirmed on Wednesday evening. The new schedule was set to feature the Superstock Race 1 on Thursday, which was due to be a day off for riders and teams, originally.

Postponed twice already, the Superstock Race 1 has been the most impacted event of the 2026 TT so far, after it was due to begin race week last Saturday. It was then moved to Tuesday, with the race set to start at 18:30pm BST. However, more bad weather has made it impossible for TT organisers to get a consistent run of races underway.

So far, only the Superbike TT and Supersport Race 1 have gone ahead, with the Sportbike Race 1 also moved from Tuesday to Friday.

If the weather does clear before Friday’s action, then a total of five races will go ahead including the Senior TT which has been brought forward from Saturday to Friday. That remains a big IF at this stage, although TT organisers are positive of completing tomorrow’s full schedule.

A statement from the organisers said:

“Due to low cloud, rain, and showers forecast throughout the day, the Clerk of the Course has confirmed no racing will take place today. All roads will remain open.

“As per the schedule update issued yesterday in the event of these circumstances, the RL360 Superstock TT Race 1 is now cancelled for TT 2026. The outlook for Friday remains positive, with the Mountain Road due to close from 09:00, and all roads closed by 10:00. Free Practice and a three-race schedule will commence from 10:30.”

Saturday’s schedule is now set to feature the second race of the Superstock and Sportbike classes.
