Honda has revealed more key details of the EV Fun Concept motorcycle, including its UK price, when production will start and the name of the new model.

Officially called WN7, the new electric model gets its ‘W’ from the development concept of ‘Be the Wind’, while the ‘N’ stands for ‘Naked’, and the number 7 is a reference to the power class it’s entering.

Honda says the new WM7 features an “on the road price” of £12,999, while production will start in late 2025, before the first fleet of models arrive in dealerships some time in early 2026.

With any electric vehicle the battery performance is high up on the list of priorities, and Honda’s WN7 claims to offer more than 130km (around 80 miles) of range from its fixed lithium-ion system. The WN7 is compatible with automotive-grade CCS2 compatible rapid charging, meaning a 20 to 80 per cent ‘top up’ charge can be done in 30 minutes. Additionally, with a 6kVA charger fitted at home you can charge the motorcycle from 0 to 100 per cent in under 3 hours.

Honda first showcased its WN7 - back then called EV Fun Concept - at the EICMA trade show in Milan in 2024, and that’s where the full technical details of the new bike will be revealed, this November.

So while specs are still largely kept under wraps, Honda does say the “WN7 is set to offer highly engaging performance, thanks to a kerb weight of just 217kg and a powertrain that’s based around an 18kW water-cooled motor”.

What that means is that the WN7 will deliver a power output similar to that of a 600cc internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycle, although its claimed 73.7 Ib ft of torque will be closer to that of a 1000cc ICE. Honda has also confirmed it will be making a 11kW A1 licence version of the WN7.

Other details about the WN7 that we already know include a five-inch TFT screen with RoadSync connectivity and exclusive EV menus. LED lighting is found both front and rear.

Interested customers can pre-order the bike now through their local dealer. Those that do so before 4 November will receive a complimentary seat bag.
