Guy Martin Kriega R25 special edition motorcycle backpack launched
Kriega has launched a special edition version of its long-running R25 backpack, adding Guy Martin branding and bringing back details from the racer’s original bag.
Kriega has teamed up with Guy Martin for a special edition version of its long-running R25 backpack, bringing back a few details that fans of both the brand and the Lincolnshire racer are likely to appreciate.
The new Guy Martin Edition R25 costs £239 and is based on Kriega’s established 25-litre backpack, but adds a handful of custom touches linked directly to Martin’s own long-term use of the motorcycle luggage brand.
Most obvious is Guy’s skull and spanners logo printed in reflective detail on the rear of the pack, while his famous number eight has been stitched into the padded back panel. Kriega has also revived the 6061-T6 alloy adjusters on the upper harness straps, a detail taken from the older R25 backpack Martin originally used.
The collaboration came about thanks to Martin’s long-standing connection with the British brand. According to Kriega, he has been using its backpacks and hydration packs for around 20 years, for everything from road riding to long-distance motorcycle trials events and even cycling trips.
Underneath the cosmetic changes and alloy adjusters, the backpack itself remains the same latest-generation R25. That means it gets Kriega’s Quadloc harness system, designed to spread the load across the rider’s chest and torso rather than pulling directly on the shoulders. The idea is to reduce fatigue and make the bag more comfortable over longer days in the saddle. It also features the extremely long 10-year guarantee that comes as standard on all Kriega bags.
The bag uses abrasion-resistant Cordura construction alongside heavy-duty YKK zips, while the main compartment is fully waterproof thanks to its roll-top closure design. Inside, there’s also a removable white liner intended to make smaller items easier to spot when they are loose in the bottom of the bag.
The Guy Martin Edition R25 is now available to pre-order through Kriega dealers and online, with deliveries expected at the end of July.
