Pierre Terblanche designing for Norton

Norton motorcycles announce Pierre Terblanche will join to design future models

THE DESIGNER of the beautiful Ducati Supermono Pierre Terblanche has joined Norton to develop future models for the British manufacturer.

Terblanche is well-known for his time spent as the head of design at Ducati. Alongside the Supermono he is notable for being the designer behind the firm's flagship superbike the 999, the unique Multistrada, the Hypermotard and the Sport Classics series.

Norton Motorcycles' CEO, Stuart Garner said: “Combining his flair for original concepts with Norton’s sporting traditions, will allow us to create a range of motorcycles bearing the historic Norton badge that will be unlike anything in the marketplace.”

Currently Norton's range is limited to the Commando 961 with three separate versions of this bike so the appointment of Terblanche may breathe some new life and creativity in the line-up of the iconic British marque.

What can we expect from Terblanche's new relationship with Norton? If his pencil channels the old days then we're in store for some very sexy Nortons...
