FCR Original builds custom Triumph Bonneville 1200 Bobber
British engineering meets French craftsmanship with this new custom Triumph Bonneville 1200 Bobber.

Custom motorcycle builder FCR Original has revealed a new one-off Triumph Bonneville 1200 Bobber, which keeps the British brand’s engineering DNA, but gets a French flavour.
FCR Original, for those unfamiliar with the Chauvigny-based company, specialises in taking BMW and Triumph bikes and transforming them into stunning custom builds.
Its current range is a mixture of just that, with everything from a custom-built BMW R12 nineT, to a Triumph Trident RS, to a Bonneville T120 ‘Legend’.
When you look at this particular Bonneville 1200 Bobber build, though, it looks a lot like Triumph’s base model, which suggests only subtle changes were made during this build.

That’s also what gives it its beauty, as “the team has chosen to keep the Triumph DNA while infusing it with a new energy: more tense, more balanced, more lively”, according to FCR Original.
In terms of what changes have been made to give it the unique, custom build feel that it was after, FCR Original added a new front mudguard and its own signature black street exhaust straight from the workshop.
The team also added 17-inch satin black spoked wheels with stainless spokes that are wrapped in Michelin Road 6 tyres, a reworked headlight, and FCR’s own triple clamps. Additionally, a new Brembo front braking system with high-performance wave discs has been fitted, as have Motogadget mirrors and Dakar grips.
The French company removed the Triumph badge from the fuel tank, but the tank itself remains the same as before, albeit finished in a striking Pearl Grey paint scheme. The leather seat is brand new and was custom made by FCR Original.
The engine is unchanged, meaning it keeps its thumbing 1,200cc parallel-twin layout, which aboard the standard Triumph model delivers 77.1bhp at 6,100rpm and 78.1 Ib-ft of torque at 4,000rpm.
