FCR Original has revealed yet another custom project, this time based on the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC, which gets a bold new colour scheme and various subtle changes.

Rather than fully transforming the on- and off-road capable Scrambler 400, it has decided to make smaller adjustments, which the French company believes will help the bike “reveal its natural potential”.

That means the engine remains unchanged, with the 398cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder unit producing 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 27Ib-ft of torque at 6,500rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, which it shares with the Scrambler 400 X model.

FCR Original says the engine can be fitted with an exhaust system developed in-house, as well as a performance air filter. The ergonomics have also been redesigned, while the cockpit has been simplified and optimised for overall use.

The custom build also makes use of various protective elements designed to accompany the bike’s adventurous spirit.

The list of parts added includes a radiator grille, fork guards, an engine guard, chain protection, dual exhaust silencers, a side support kit, a license plate holder with turn signals, and Mini Bates front turn signals.

According to FCR Original, “this scrambler can be configured in different ways depending on the desired use. Some riders will prefer a sleek and lightweight road scrambler that's ideal for cruising and commuting. Others will prefer a more adventure-oriented setup, capable of tackling paths and tracks.

“The Scrambler 400 Escape was designed to accompany this evolution. It is a flexible base that can be adapted to the vision and desires of each rider.”
