VOGE DS800X Rally becomes UK best-seller

VOGE has been in the UK market for less than half a decade but it’s going from strength to strength, as proven by sales of the DS800X Rally.

Popular Chinese brand VOGE has scored another win in the UK market, with its DS800X Rally having earned the title of the UK’s best selling adventure motorcycle in October, within the very crowded 750-1000cc space.

Amid EICMA and MCL25 season we’ve been talking a lot about Chinese manufacturers – every single one of which, it seems, offers at least one take on the adventure theme. Add to that, of course, the glut of offerings from better known European and Japanese manufacturers.

VOGE has been a major player in the space for a few years now, thanks in no small part to its DS900X, which is driven by the same engine as BMW’s considerably more expensive and less feature-laden F 900 GS.

(VOGE is the high-end in-house brand of Chongqing-based Loncin Holdings, which has had a partnership with BMW for roughly 20 years, building a number of its bikes, including the current F 900 R, F 900 XR, and F 900 GS).

Dealerships have struggled to keep the DS900X in stock since its release last year, so perhaps it shouldn’t have been surprising that the DS800X Rally should turn out to be just as popular. Having first arrived at UK dealerships in late August it has played a major part in VOGE seeing its overall sales increase by 165 percent compared to October 2024.

VOGE is quick to point out that this success comes in contrast to a time when most UK dealerships are struggling to get product out of the door. While VOGE sales were soaring last month, overall UK motorcycle sales were down 9 percent from the same month last year – according to data provided by the MCIA.

October’s success means that VOGE has become the seventh highest-selling brand in the UK – ahead of stalwarts like Royal Enfield, Suzuki, and Kawasaki.

Driven by a 798cc liquid-cooled parallel twin, the DS800X claims peak outputs of 93.8hp and 60 lb-ft of torque. Packed with features, it has a £6,999, with VOGE currently offering a full set of aluminium luggage for an additional £699.

VOGE is one of the dozens of manufacturers that will be at MCL25 from 15-23 November at the NEC in Birmingham. The brand’s stand in Hall 2 will also feature the DS900X, DS625X, DS525X, Rally 300, SR1, SR1 ADV, SR16, and the recently-introduced R625.
