Buell unveils newest Hammerhead 1190 model in Stars and Stripes colours
Say hello to the new Freedom Edition Hammerhead 1190 from Buell, although it’s only available in the US, for now.

With Buell having officially returned to the UK, any new model releases are sure to catch our eye, as is the case with this stunning Stars and Stripes-themed Freedom Edition Hammerhead 1190, but it’s only available in the US, for now.
Giving off serious Ducati Panigale V4 vibes due to its triple side fairing air flow intakes, the Hammerhead 1190 is the brand’s flagship sportbike, with some variants of the model having already landed in the UK.
Beneath this stunning livery, the Hammerhead 1190 retains the same performance that’s found across the other Hammerhead 1190 models.
Powered by the American company’s liquid-cooled 1190cc V-twin engine, which was originally developed for AMA super sport racing, it delivers 182bhp at 10,600rpm and 102Ib ft of torque at 8,200rpm, while weighing 190kg.

The bike features a full carbon fibre bodywork, while the front suspension gets inverted big piston forks from Showa. At the rear is a single shock without linkage set-up, again from Showa.
A 386mm single perimeter rotor, eight-piston inside-out caliper comprises the front brake system about the Freedom Edition Hammerhead 11900, while out back is 220mm disc that’s gripped by a two-piston Hayes Performance Brake caliper.
Buell confirmed its return to the UK market through a partnership with Rainbow Moto, a small motorcycle shop in Newton Abbot, Devon, which is the current supplier across the country for all Buell motorbikes that are available in the UK market.
It’s unclear when the Freedom Edition Hammerhead 1990 model might venture over to the UK, if at all, but with the brand now supplying its bike in the UK and set to introduce the Super Cruiser and Super Tourer later this year (pre-orders are available), further models might not be too far away.
