BSA Bantam 350 leapfrogs Honda GB350S as best-selling modern classic in February
BSA and Honda continue to battle for top spot in the modern classic UK sales race, but who came out on top in February?
After starting 2026 as the best-selling modern classic in January, the Honda GB350S has been bumped from top spot by the BSA Bantam 350.

Since October, the modern classic segment has been dominated by these two motorcycles, with the new Bantam 350 topping the sales charts on three occasions. The other months during that time were topped by Honda’s popular GB350S, which led the way for much of 2025, too.
Statistics from the MCIA (Motorcycle Industry Association) show that a total of 29 Bantam 350 motorcycles were sold in the UK last month, although that was less than what the GB350S managed as the best-seller in January (79).

As was the case in January, modern classic sales for the month of February were slightly down compared to the same month in 2025. February’s numbers also dipped compared with January 2026.
The total number of registered modern classic motorcycles in February was 295, which is 90 fewer than the same month in 2025, and 208 fewer than in January this year. However, February was a solid month overall, with the market showing growth versus February 2025 across many other segments. The year-to-date numbers for 2026 are also higher than at the same time in 2025.
The battle between the likes of BSA’s Bantam 350 and the Honda GB350S will be an interesting one to follow as the year goes on. But other competitors such as the Triumph Speed 400 can’t be forgotten about either.
Luke Gregory, Managing Director of Lukas Distribution, which is the exclusive distributor of BSA motorcycles in the UK, said:
“The February UK sales figures are in and we’re delighted to see the BSA Bantam 350 once again take the number one spot in the modern classic category. It’s the third time since October the Bantam has topped the charts, outperforming strong competition from brands like Honda and Royal Enfield.”
