If you’ve been following our recent reports, you will know that the battle for supremacy as the best-selling modern classic has largely involved two motorcycles. They are the Bantam 350, and the Honda GB350S.

The GB350S led the way for much of last year, and so far in 2026, it has remained one of the most popular models. With a price of £3,999, it’s easy to see why the GB350S has been a hit with British riders. It was also voted the best A2 bike in the 2025 Visordown Awards.

The Bantam 350, which is a more recent addition to the modern classic segment, has also become a popular bike since its launch last summer. The Bantam 350 was sold in a total of 129 units in March 2026. That’s 100 more than what it managed in February, where it took over top spot from the GB350S. These statistics were provided by the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA).

In the adventure segment, the BMW R1300 GS was the most popular model in March with 309 units sold. That was by far the most of any individual motorcycle, with Honda’s CB125F placing second with 201 units sold.

Over the last 12 months BMW has rarely been moved off top spot in the adventure segment, as the R1300 GS Adventure has also proved to be a hot favourite among UK riders. However, both models have faced competition at times, with Honda’s NC750X taking top spot in February.

With BMW’s new F 450 GS also on the market, it wouldn’t be a surprise if BMW continues to lead the adventure segment throughout 2026.

Other models that stood out in March were Royal Enfield’s Super Meteor 650, which topped the custom segment with 67 units sold. The Yamaha WR125R was the top-selling competition bike, achieving 76 sales.
