CFMoto reveals new flagship 1000MT-X
CFMoto’s 2026 EICMA reveal has seen a new flagship adventure model arrive from the Chinese brand.

Chinese company CFMoto has revealed its 2026 1000MT-X adventure model, which arrives as the new range-topping machine within its budding ADV line-up.
While similar to the 800MT-X from an appearance point of view, the new 1000MT-X has taken over as the brand’s flagship ADV bike thanks to a sizable increase in power.
The 1000MT-X has adopted a version of KTM’s LC8c parallel-twin engine that is currently housed by both the 990 Duke and the 990 RC R supersport bike. Specifically, the 1000MT-X uses a 947cc powertrain that delivers a claimed 109.4bhp at 8,500rpm and 77.4 Ib-ft of torque at 6,250rpm.

In other areas much appears to be carried over from the 800MT-X to the new 1000MT-X model, like the bodywork and chassis.
Suspension is handled by KYB, with a fully adjustable 48mm inverted fork at the front, and a rear monoshock that’s also fully adjustable.
Braking comes via Brembo, with four-piston calipers gripping down on 320mm discs at the front. A dual-piston Brembo caliper is paired with a 260mm disc at the rear. Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR dual-purpose tyres house a pair of tubeless wire-spoke wheels, with a 21-inch at the front, and 18-inch at the rear.

The bike’s dry weight is listed at 199kg by CFMoto, while the 1000MT-X also features a 22.5-litre fuel tank, which it says “offers over 450km (around 280 miles) of range under comprehensive riding conditions”.
A Bosch 6-axis IMU offers a full suite of riding aids, with five ride modes available. The new flagship adventure bike also comes with cornering ABS, and three-stage traction control, which is adjustable. An 8-inch TFT display presents all the necessary information you need.
Additionally, cruise control comes as a standard feature, as does a bi-directional quickshifter and heated grips. The same goes for protective elements like a skid plate, handguards and a chain guard.

The arrival of the 1000MT-X takes CFMoto’s global adventure range to six, with the brand’s entry-level 450MT, 700MT, 800MT Sport, 800MT Explore and 800MT-X already positioned in its line-up.
We will update this story when we know more about availability and price for the new 1000MT-X.
