World Supercross Championship is Heading to the Gold Coast
The World Supercross Championship has confirmed yet another new round for 2025, this time on the Gold Coast in Australia
The World Supercross Championship is heading to the Gold Coast for the first-time ever as it adds yet another new venue to its 2025 calendar.
Set to be one of the more must-visit locations on the 2025 schedule, the Gold Coast round will see riders tackle a track that features famous beaches as its backdrop.
The Gold Coast event means Australia will remain a consistent presence on the World Supercross calendar, following last year's double-header in Perth.
The Cbus Super Stadium will be the venue of choice for the new Gold Coast round, which follows London, Buenos Aires, and Cape Town in being confirmed as new venues in 2025.
Tim Mander, Minister for Sport and Racing, said: “Sun, surf and supercross. This is the perfect event for the Gold Coast, for tourists and motorsport enthusiasts alike! This is a global event with huge reach, another fantastic addition to the Queensland sporting calendar, and a great opportunity for kids to be inspired to get involved in sport and active recreation.”
The expansion for 2025 comes after a mind-blowing 2024 as the series reported a significant viewing figure increase. Last season saw a 151 per cent total year-on-year increase as well as a YoY rise of 73 per cent in viewership numbers per race.

The fans were fantastic, and we know the passion of Australia’s supercross fans runs deep across the country. So that’s why we’re bringing World Supercross to the Gold Coast, offering a chance for even more local fans to experience the world’s best riders in action up close. At an incredible venue, in front of what I'm sure will be an electric crowd, I can’t wait to see the racing unfold in yet another continent – bring it on.”
