TVS teases new ADV possibly based on BMW F450 GS
ADV riders might not have long to wait to see an all-new small-capacity model from TVS.
TVS has teased a new model which rumours say could be its own version of BMW’s new F450 GS, and it will be revealed on 4 November, at the EICMA trade show in Milan.
Rumours in India are suggesting the teaser, which was released on the official TVS Motor instagram page, is a 450cc machine to be exact, which would make sense on several fronts.
The first of those is because TVS and BMW have a close partnership which has led to collaborations on models such as the BMW G310 R and G310 GS, and TVS’ Apache RR 310.
Then there’s the new 450cc parallel-twin engine that’s being developed by TVS, which is not only earmarked for its own updated Apache motorcycles, but is also believed to be powering the F450 GS - and possibly Norton’s new 450cc model, which will also be unveiled at EICMA.

Based on the teaser, there’s really nothing to go off in terms of specs or even if it is a new 450cc ADV bike. However, rumours are pretty strong that it is just that.
With TVS seemingly building its own BMW F450 GS-equivalent, first we should expect an ADV model from the Apache range to be produced. Reports say the new Apache RTX 300 adventure bike is set to be unveiled on 15 October.
TVS Motor is set to take on the likes of KTM’s 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield’s Himalayan 450.
According to Rushlane, in India, the new TVS 450 ADV is likely to be positioned as an adventure-tourer instead of being a pure off-roader. Features such as a front beak, a large windscreen, and gold USD forks could be expected.
With the bike said to be based on BMW’s F450 GS, it would also produce the same 47.3bhp that the German company’s model is expected to deliver.
